The Vice President of the Brain Injury Alliance of South Dakota met with Representative Kristi Noem and requested that she join the Congressional Brain Injury Task Force.  She was very receptive and will look into the task force. 

 

We are pleased to announce that Governor Dennis Daugaard signed SB 149! The bill is designed to raise awareness of concussions in high school sports and prevent further injury.  (Click Here!) 

 

The President and Vice President of the Brain Injury Alliance of South Dakota met with Governor Dennis Daugaard in Pierre on 2/23/11 along with the Coalition for Citizens with Disabilities and several other groups.  The Governor addressed the concerns of the disability community and opened up the door for future dialogue.
